Synthetic Power Transmission EP Gear Oil GEN2

  • Base Oil Technology: mPAO
  • Viscosity Range: ISO 320
  • Viscosity Index: 177

AMSOIL Industrial Synthetic Power Transmission EP Gear Oil GEN2 is engineered to provide maximum protection against scuffing wear and micropitting fatigue and superior cold-weather performance in wind turbine and other industrial gearboxes operating under severe conditions, extreme pressures and shock loads. Its next-generation synthetic polyalphaolefin (PAO) base oils and additive technology resists shearing under extreme stress to maintain viscosity and meet the long-oil-life requirements of industrial gearbox manufacturers.

  • Superior EP protection against micropitting and scuffing wear.
  • High viscosity index to remain fluid in extreme cold temperatures for improved energy efficiency and startup protection.
  • Excellent foam-resistance to promote a strong lubricating film.
  • Inhibits rust and corrosion to promote long component life.
  • Superior thermal and oxidative stability in high temperatures to minimize sludge, carbon and varnish buildup and extend oil life.
  • Excellent demulsibility for improved filterability and filter life.

EXCELLENT WEAR PROTECTION

  • Uses next-generation PAO base oils and core-additive technology to provide exceptional protection against micropitting, scuffing and wear on gear surfaces.
  • Forms a resilient lubricating film despite extreme pressures to ensure long component life and excellent performance.
  • EP additives provide additional protection in shock-loading conditions common to wind-turbine applications.

LONG OIL LIFE

  • Excellent thermal stability and oxidation resistance help provide oil life beyond the long-life requirements of gearbox manufacturers.
  • Delivers exceptional service life in the most demanding conditions, keeping wind assets up and running and helping reduce time and money spent on maintenance.

MAXIMUM COLD FLOW

  • Provides outstanding fluidity despite extreme cold.
  • Flows quickly at startup to ensure gears and bearings are protected.
  • Requires less energy to overcome internal fluid friction, maximizing energy efficiency.
