Open Gear Grease

AMSOIL Industrial Open Gear Grease is designed specifically for use in wind turbine pitch and yaw gears and other industrial open gears. Its unique combination of base oils, calcium sulfonate thickener and select additives solve common gear-tooth issues such as fretting, pitting, corrosion and lack of grease between heavily-loaded gear sets.

  • Superior load and wear protection when equipment is operating in harsh climates where temperatures are well below freezing.

 

DELIVERS SUPERIOR GEAR PROTECTION

  • Despite heavy impacts and loads, open gear grease stays in place providing protection competitors are not able to match.
  • Protects against fretting from extreme cyclical loads and vibration while offering protection when the nacelle ratchets during backlash events and places heavy impact-type loads between gear teeth.
  • Creates thin grease filaments that distribute across the gear face after meshing—increasing lubrication during the next pass.
